I think the Rainbow Machine is hilarious! Joe (Trohman) bought it, but I ended up hijacking it and writing a part with it pretty much immediately. “I love pretty much everything they make. How are you finding the pair of pedals you use? Are they voiced particularly well for bass?

Josh is also a self-confessed gear nerd who loves to experiment with pedals and talk about gear. His love of huge, driven bass tones is present in all that he does and not only has he amassed a substantial collection of these pedals, he’s put them to work on many recordings and at all of his live shows. Josh has likely tried more distortion, overdrive and fuzz pedals, though more heavily driven bass heads than most of us can imagine.

While his bass career covers the far corners of the rock, metal and prog’ genres, there is one characteristic always present in Josh’s tone, one thing that makes you think ‘that sounds like Newton!’ - Dirt… A s**t load of dirt! The musician’s that he’s played/plays along side include members of Fall Out Boy and Anthrax to name but a few. Josh is a bass (and guitar!) heavy weight, having played for more bands on the US rock and metal scene than I can keep track of.
